Save the Date: Sunday, November 19, 1:30 PM
Get ready for an extraordinary youth ministry event that promises fun, inspiration, and a deeper understanding of history at the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center. You won't want to miss this!
Meeting Point: Gather at our church at 1:30 PM. From there, we'll embark on a journey to the National Underground Railroad Freedom Center, where we'll unite with Presbyterian Youth from across Cincinnati.
Discover the Untold Heroes: At the Freedom Center, we'll delve into the incredible stories of courageous individuals who broke free from the shackles of slavery, embarked on treacherous journeys to freedom, and found help from people of faith along the way. But this isn't your typical museum visit; get ready for an exciting and challenging scavenger hunt that will put your observation skills to the test and immerse you in the gripping narrative of the Underground Railroad.
Preparation for Future Adventures: This event is a crucial stepping stone for our youth, preparing them for the Youth Council's Winter Retreat on February 2-3 in Ripley, Ohio. During this retreat, we'll explore the vital role that Presbyterians played in the Underground Railroad, visiting historic sites where Christians worked to secure freedom for the captives.
RSVP and Join the Hunt: To ensure you don't miss out on this unforgettable scavenger hunt event, reach out to the church office to confirm your attendance.
Let's embrace the wisdom of Micah 6:8: "He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with your God." Join us in a journey of justice, compassion, and humble faith.
