Lent is a season of preparation for Easter - a time of reflection and spiritual growth. Ash Wednesday is the holiday that begins Lent with a day of reflection and remembrance.
Join us for our service on Ash Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at 7 pm. We'll explore Isaiah's song of the vineyard (Isaiah 5:1-17) and Jesus' parable of the tenants (Mark 12:1-12. Through these passages, we'll reflect on the fruitfulness of our lives, consider our need for self-reflection and penitence, and remember that Christ sacrificed his life for us that we might live.
We'll conclude the service with an opportunity to receive an imposition of ashes upon our foreheads in the sign of a cross. This ancient Christian practice is both a reminder of our mortality and an outward expression of our trust in Christ.
