Women's Christmas Advent Worship: Saturday, December 2 from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM. The women of Madeira-Silverwood host this special worship service at the start of Advent. This event features time for fellowship and creativity as well as a thoughtful and spiritually enriching worship service. Advent Sunday Morning Services: The four Sundays leading up to Christmas are a time of expectation and excitement. This year, we will focus our Sunday worship services on "The Angels of Advent" Each week, we will look at the angelic visitations that led up to Christ's birth. Join us each Sunday as we explore the angelic messages that helped prepare God's people to celebrate the birth of Christ:
Sunday, December 3. "Christ Brings Hope For The Ashamed" (Luke 1:5-25). Worship services at 9:00 and 11:00.
Sunday, December 10. "Christ Brings Favor For The Humble" (Luke 1:26-38). Worship services at 9:00 and 11:00
Sunday, December 17. "Christ Brings Courage For The Challenged" (Matthew 1:18-25). Worship service at 10:00. This service will be a single service featuring a special Christmas musical event, "Night of the Father's Love"
Sunday, December 24. "Christ Brings Joy For The Forgotten" (Luke 2:8-20). Worship service at 10:00. This service will be a family oriented worship service featuring a Children's Christmas play.
Christmas Eve Candlelight Service: Our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service is a moving and meaningful opportunity to gather with loved ones, sing Christmas carols, and participate in a candle lighting ceremony. Pastor Smith will conclude the "Angels of Advent" series with the message: "Christ Brings Completion To Creation" (Revelation 21:9-11, 21:22-27, 22:1-6). Join us on December 24 at 9:30 PM for this special worship service.
Sunday, December 31 Worship Service: We close the end of year holiday season with our last Fifth Sunday service at 10:00. Close out your 2023 with this special service, with a message from Pastor Smith kicking off the 2024 series "Abide: Dwelling with Christ in the Rhythms of Life" with a message on John 15:1-17 "Abide in Christ’s love."
