Children’s Ministry

A central goal of all our children’s program is to assure parents that their children are safe and well cared for by our staff and volunteers. Also, we desire and delight in the opportunity to share the love of Jesus with your children.
Our staff and volunteers have been thoroughly screened and trained so you can experience a meaningful and peaceful Sunday morning at MSPC. We are blessed and thank you for entrusting us with the care of your children, while you attend worship or participate in educational hour.

Nursery

Infants: Newborn to 3yrs old (available during services and Sunday school)
The nursery is well-equipped and staffed for infant care. All equipment and toys are sterilized after use and staff follows stringent guidelines recommended for the care of infants.

Sunday School

Our Children’s Sunday school program offers classes for kids 3yrs old to High School during the 10AM hour.

Children 3-5th grade start in the sanctuary learning and singing together in Children’s Choir led by Roy Swanson. They are then led back to the classroom for their Bible Foundations class were we will be learning the books of the bible, talking about the Lord’s Prayer in terms a child can understand, and discussing how we can be more Christ like.

Children 6th-8th Study the Grapple curriculum where kids will explore hard questions like Where did God come from? How come I’m not perfect? Why doesn’t everyone go to Heaven?

Children 9th-12th Are being led through the Sticky Faith Curriculum designed to help high school students develop a solid foundation that endures through the faith struggles they will face in college.

Young Disciples

Young Disciples provides an educational experience during the 9AM worship service. Children attend the first portion of worship with their parents as part of their worship learning experience and growth. At a designated point during worship (see note in worship service bulletin), children are excused to go to Young Disciples where they will participate in interactive bible lessons from the Dig In Curriculum.
