Youth Ministry

We Are….Connecting students with Christ, each other, the church and the community.

Our youth ministry offers a variety of programs throughout the year reaching from 6th grade to 12th.   You’ll always want to check the “Life of the Church” for our special events and announcements but here is an overview of what we do during the school year.

Middle School Youth Group
The Middle School group (6th – 8th) meets on Sunday nights from 5 – 6 pm.  We hang out, play games and have a short Bible study.  This group is very approachable and is a good place to build Christian community.

High School Youth Group
The High School group (9th – 12th grade) meets on Sunday nights from 6:30-8:00 pm.  We spend a little time hanging out but spend most of our time focusing on a study or teaching of some kind.  It has become tradition to head to “Steak n’ Shake” afterwards for further hang out time.  Over the summer the group is a little lighter and we play a lot more games.

Before-School Bible Study
During the school year, the High School group meet every week at 6:30 am on Tuesday mornings to go through a Bible study together.  Breakfast is usually provided by someone in the group as well as top-notch coffee!

Senior Lunch Wednesday
Madeira High School, on most days allows the seniors to go out to lunch for an hour.  On Wednesdays (during the school year) they meet at the church and we usually just hang out, watch television and eat pizza.

Student Leadership Team
Every 6 months there is an opening for students to apply to be a “Student Leader” in the youth group.  This program is open only to upperclassmen in High School and provides an opportunity to have real input on teaching and planning for future events.

Student Volunteers
The High School students have an chance to serve those younger than themselves.  We offer some of the High School students the opportunity to volunteer with the Middle School youth group and make them an active part of that program.  They lead everything from games, fellowship and teaching.

Retreats and Lock-Ins
Every year, we have a minimum of one retreat and a lock-in.  These special events are great places for spiritual growth, but also great opportunities to invite friends who have never attended an event before.

Special Events
Each year we have a variety of special events including rock climbing, paintball, laser-tag, corn mazes, movie marathons and more!  For current information, check it out in the “Life of the Church, or sign up in the Facebook group or email list for details about these events.
